VANAMEGANNATHAR TEMPLE

This ancient temple is situated in our property. A small Shiva temple with a small pond and known for its regular aarathi poojas.

KAAVAL DEIVAM TEMPLE

“Velma & Kathayi Amman” are the guardian gods of the village. It is a photographic spot. Situated within 1 km of this resort.

POTTER STREET

This is on the way to the above mentioned temple. It is the street were local potters create, shape, bake & paint the pots.

VEERANAM LAKE

The tank was formed more than 1000 years ago by the Prince Rajathithar, Son of King Parandage Cholan I. In this period between 907 to 935 AD, in order, to improve the irrigation facilities. It was named ‘Veera Narayanan’ which was a nickname given to king Parandage Cholan I for his Valour.

VEERA NARAYANA PERUMAL TEMPLE

The first Paranthaka Chozha alias Veeranarayanan renewed Sri Mannanarkoil by brick construction. But there is authority to prove that Mannanar Perumal Temple was in existence even before the Chozha king paranthakan (Uthama Chozhan’s 16th year stone inscription).

MELAKADAMBUR

Melakadambur is a village located 6 km from Kattumannarkoil. It is known for Arulmigu Amirthakateshwarar Thirukkoil, constructed during the reign of Cholas by Kulothunga Chola.

GANGAIKONDA CHOLAPURAM

Gangaikonda Cholapuram was erected as the capital of the Cholas by Rajendra Chola I, the son and successor of Rajaraja Chola, the great Chola who conquered a large area in South India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Sumatra, Kadaram (Kedah in Malaysia), Cambodia and others at the beginning of the 11th century A.D.

SRIMUSHNAM

Lord Vishnu’s in-coronation as pig called Bhoovaragamurthy is the main deity in this temple. It is situated at 25 km from the resort. During the Tamil month Maasi on Magam star day is a very holi festival day of this lord.
